My official name is actually Jasmine – in German, it is pronounced like "Nicole," without the "e" at the end. Since many people had trouble remembering this, the name Jasmina became common over time. When I introduce myself as Jasmin today, my name is still usually written without the "e." To put an end to this constant confusion, I decided 20 years ago to simply stick with the most frequent name used: Jasmina.
